BRIEF BIO

I am computational neuroscientist and music psychologist studying the dynamics of human perception, action and cognition. My research has focused on modeling complex human behaviors, such as the perception and learning of musical structures and the coordination of rhythmic movements, and analyzing mathematical models of nonlinear dynamics underlying such behaviors. I am Assistant Research Professor at the University of Connecticut where I conduct research with Prof. Edward Large in the Music Dynamics Laboratory. I am also Co-Founder and Vice President of Research and Development at Oscillo Biosciences, an early stage digital therapeutics company based in Farmington, Connecticut. I studied physics and music theory at Seoul National University, South Korea and obtained a PhD degree in Music Theory and Cognition at Northwestern University.
